HOW TO JOIN
There
are two ways of joining PACI:
1. You can apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), also referred
to as Recognition of Current Competencies (RCC), or
2.
You can enrol in a series of training courses to acquire the necessary knowledge & skills.
In
relation to item 1 above...
If
you believe that you currently possess sufficient knowledge, skills
and experience relevant to the level of membership you are seeking,
you may be able to apply for RPL. Please refer to the
RPL checklists for further information
Please note: all RPL applicants will be required to undergo a two
day assessment.
In
relation to item 2 above...
You have to start somewhere! Activities involving exposure to falls from
height (eg abseiling & climbing), require a high level of knowledge and
skill to avoid accidents/injuries (not only to yourself but also to
others). Seeking the guidance of a trained and competent professional
instructor is a great investment in your future.
